Al-Diriyah Governrate

This project is located in one of the most important and ancient historical spots in the city of Riyadh, which is the city of Diriyah, the origin of the old Saudi Slate and the capital of “building with mud”. This project represented a great opportunity to present the techniques of using compressed earth bricks in construction as a modem technology that uses clay soil in an advanced scientific manner that the local community can adopt, and Diriyah once again becomes a modem capital for earth construction.

The design of this project represented a major challenge for us as we committed ourselves to appropriately envision the following design issues:

How to express the support and the positive cohesion relationship between authority (transparency, justice, order) and society (the cultural heritage of civilization).

The balance between past, present, and future in urban development outside the city Diriyah

Establishing a sustainable direction for urban development using appropriate building techniques.
